No Hassle Returns for Retail Purchases Made Directly from Blue Whale Press
We want you to be completely satisfied with your new purchase and always hope returns won't be necessary. But in the event you aren't completely satisfied, we ask that you follow our simple policy below.

Requests for a refund must be made directly by sending e-mail to , or by calling 1-800-635-0173 within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of your book(s). In your request, please provide us with a daytime phone number and/or email address where you can be reached for questions. It is important that you follow this part of the process. Your formal request for a refund helps ensure you are properly credited and alerts us to your inbound return so it doesn't get lost. In no case does Blue Whale Press assume any risk for loss or damage during shipping, nor can you return books to us that have not been sold directly to you by us.

A refund will be issued upon Blue Whale Press's receipt of returned goods provided the goods are in the same condition as they were when sold (no scuffs, dog eared pages, crayon marks, tears, etc.). A check or reversal of charges to your credit card, whichever is most appropriate and at the sole discretion of Blue Whale Press, will be issued within ten (10) business days of receipt.

Submissions
If you're an aspiring author of children's books, we can certainly take a look at you. However, we only accept book queries sent via e-mail to . In your query, you should succinctly describe the target audience for your book, give us a compelling reason why someone other than friends and family would want to buy it, and tell us how you think it should be marketed - all within the body of the e-mail! DO NOT send attachments, and DO NOT send us paper. We are staunch proponents of the digital age. If we want to see something in print, then by gosh, we can print it ourselves (after all, that's our job). If we like what we've read, you'll hear from us. But, don't expect a quick response. Moreover, don't expect any response if we didn't like what we read. DISCLAIMER: We will not be held responsible for any manuscripts, book proposals, or queries sent to us either mechanically or electronically. All unsolicited manuscripts, book proposals, and queries sent to any address other than the e-mail link above, including those sent to our physical address, will be promptly discarded regardless of whether they included return postage or not (the ability to reuse postage stamps won't even entice us to open the package).
